Van Buren Counseling Professionals

Premier Van Buren counseling is now available at the offices of Relationship Solutions. Our second location can be found at 1500 Main St. Van Buren, AR across from the public library and next to Yeager’s Ace Hardware. We are so thrilled to bring our exceptional counseling services to the city of Van Buren and surrounding Crawford County. Our distinctive counseling approach and our emphasis on creating an excellent client experience sets us apart. Relationship Solutions exists to help people rebuild, strengthen, and repair their relationships with each other, with God, and with themselves.

Founded in 2019 by Ben and Tonya Storie, Relationship Solutions was established when the couple saw a need for relationship-focused counseling services in the River Valley. After experiencing the benefits of quality relationship counseling in their own marriage, Ben and Tonya connected with skilled, licensed and specifically trained clinicians to offer this kind of relationship support and healing to the community. Their goal was to create a definitive resource for relationship health in Western and Northwestern Arkansas. Each counselor they partner with has extensive training in the area of attachment theory and relationship health. At Relationship Solutions, we believe that individual health is established and flourishes in the context of secure relationships.

The distinctive difference in the counseling style and technique of Relationship Solutions is in the model of therapy that we practice. All of our clinicians are trained in the model of emotionally focused therapy, a groundbreaking style of therapy developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. Emotionally focused therapy doesn’t simply focus on communication skills, coping skills, and other techniques commonly used in relationship care. Instead, emotionally focused therapy helps recognize the pattern of disconnection and conflict that occurs in a relationship, maps this pattern, and then identifies new patterns that reinforce the relational bond. This helps couples feel more connected and more secure in their relationship. It is not in the peace of a relationship that foundations are built but rather in the security and strength of the bond. People with a strong relational bond are more likely to have successful relationships. Bringing this style of therapy to Van Buren provides couples, families, and even individuals the opportunity to receive excellent Van Buren counseling services.

It’s common for people to wait until the problem is out of control to seek out therapy, but it’s much more beneficial to make an appointment to see a counselor sooner than that. The licensed and experienced counselors at Relationship Solutions can help you identify the problem and create a treatment plan that will help you meet your personal and relationship goals. Clients typically attend counseling appointments on a recurring basis, whether that is weekly, biweekly, or on a monthly frequency. We also schedule sessions on an as-needed basis for those clients who are unable to maintain a regularly scheduled appointment. If you’re not sure if this is a good time for you to begin counseling, call our office and schedule a free consultation where we can help you decide what course of treatment, if any, is right for you.
