This is an effective form of treatment for individuals as well as couples and families. Ben believes that all behavior is an attempt to meet a legitimate need. He also believes that all emotions make sense if we understand their context. Together, with Ben’s help, you will work to understand your emotions and behavior so you can find the solutions you need.

Have you ever just been in such great distress that you just can’t seem to make heads or tails of life? Lisa considers it a joy to work with couples, families, and individuals. She considers it an honor when people allow her to walk beside them in their journey. She believes that each person has great worth and their stories are as unique as snowflakes. Sitting with people in their distress gives her an unparalleled vantage point from which to watch the healing power of secure attachment in the lives of her clients. Relationships provide a safe harbor for our lives and when they are strained or broken, we feel real pain. Lisa’s approach provides a proven path back to healthy relationships. With training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and Trauma-Focused Therapy for individuals, she is able to see the attachment and trauma wounds through the pain and help couples and individuals find healing. EFT is a non-blaming, research-supported approach that is empirically supported and effective.

All of her certifications, training, and years of experience are what give her a map to help you get where you want to be. Couple that with her heart that beats to a rhythm of grace and compassion, and you have a place to not only get traction and movement to the life you desire but to also feel heard and understood throughout the entire process.  You can get out of your “stuck” spot, and Carrie would love to be the one who walks through it with you to the other side.

Are you continually having those “here we go again” moments with your spouse and just feel like it is starting to get really difficult to sort through? Christa Means is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is trained and specialized in working with couples and has a model of helping them connect and strengthen their relationship. Her experience and knowledge also applies to individuals walking through their own troubling moments or shame that has created anxiety, depression or other emotional difficulties. Her extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy has guided her personally and professionally to be able to relate and empathize with each client she encounters. In recognizing and processing how our past informs our today, she is able to help clients experience change and healing.

He is a compassionate, understanding, and supportive clinician and he is passionate about helping you become your best self. Nathan’s intuitive approach not only makes sense of the problems you are facing but he offers compassionate guidance in the healing process. Does it seem like other couples have it easier?  Maybe they do.  But it may not be because of luck or coincidence.  Sometimes there are underlying problems that make relationship success even more challenging.  Unresolved hurts, traumas, and losses from the past can often interfere with our ability to trust, resolve conflict and experience secure connection with our partner.  Jordan Griffie, LPC has trained extensively in guiding individuals and couples through the healing process so that relationship success is possible.  In addition to his extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Jordan is also experienced in treating self-destructive behaviors of substance abuse and sexual addiction.

Many of us experience grief after the loss of a marriage, the loss of trust, the loss of a child or even the loss of a dream. And while grief is a real part of life, it doesn’t have to define you; you can find joy again. But you may need some help. Celeste Nichols is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. She specializes in working with postpartum depression, infertility, co-parenting, blended families, and women’s issues. Celeste has training and experience working with couples. A former educator, Kristin uses the skills and experience gained in her time as a teacher to enhance her therapy skills with clients every day. She has logged hundreds of post-graduate education hours studying the care of couples and families. Young children often don’t have the words to process what they are going through and when this happens, they need an alternative to traditional talk therapy. Lynae Otten, LCSW and Registered Play Therapist can guide little ones into expressing their hurt, anger and confusion using empirically-based play techniques that provide relief and healing. Her therapy process also helps parents better under their child’s experience and how to support them as they heal.

Cindy Williams, LPC is this kind of counselor.
