Our counselors provide a distinctive style of therapy called emotionally focused therapy. Emotionally focused therapy was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson of Ottawa Canada. EFT focuses on not only strengthening communication skills and the ability to cope with challenges and relationships but it goes even deeper to strengthen the foundation of the relationship so that when miscommunications and distress occur relationships remain stable and secure. Every counselor at Relationship Solutions has been trained in the model of emotionally focused therapy and this model informs their counseling work with clients.
Each of the counselors that partners with Relationship Solutions is specifically selected because of their clinical skill, their compassion, and their ability to help clients achieve the goals they have established in therapy. These counselors have spent hundreds of post graduate hours training and developing their skill in order to provide Fort Smith counseling services at their finest.
